A comment on a comment...

Dear Lavina commented in my last entry, that she did not believe that the Net can be censored. And I replied to her the following, in comments in my last entry. But since I never go back and read comments again {in other blogs} I will post it here.
--------------------------------------
Dear Lavinia, you said you don't believe there is any way that blogs or the internet can be censored, unless its something horrible like child pornography.

IF my country passes a law, that citizens have to do thus and so... As with the *Fairness Doctrine* which Liberal Democrats love and Obama is a Liberal Democrat... citizens of my country will have to do thus and so. Or be subject to legal prosecution.

IF your country passes laws for you, than you have to follow that law, or be subject to prosecution.

If someone else's country passes a law, that citizens must do thus and so, they have to do it. Or be subject to prosecution.

YOU can post on the Net, what YOUR country allows. EACH citizen can publish on the Net, what EACH citizen's country allows.

Do you NOT KNOW of the "Politically Correct" Laws already passed in such a country at ENGLAND?? Which forbid certain things from being published, because they may "Offend Muslims"????

Do you not know this?!?!?!

Do you think of England as being a free country? Sure you do. Well, Politically Correctness {In the mind of some} is already the Law, in England!

And in Europe... Where they love Liberal Thought...

Do you remember what happened to the Danish cartoonist/papers, which published the cartoons of Mohamed??? Do you remember what happened to the film maker who made film, critical of Islam/Muslims? MURDERED!

How is that, for return Political Correctness? They can scream about some cartoon. But we have to put up with their rantings, and what they choose to publish.

And you Christians, remember "Dung Madonna" or what ever it was called? And the urinating on the cross and on the flag? THAT was OK! In the name of Free Speech.

Did those things offend YOUR sensibilities???? Did you threaten murder and mayhem, because they were displayed???? NO!

Display a painting of the Madonna, smeared with dung. Oh that's free speech! Urinate on the cross or the flag. Oh that's free speech! No law protected the Christians from being OFFENDED, did it???

Read! Become aware! Read about so much of EUROPE, where these PC "Might Offend" laws are in place!

EUROPE "coronated" Obama when he was over there! EUROPE loves him. WHY??? Because he loves the same LIBERAL thought, which they do. The same LIBERAL thought, which decrees that Muslims, for one, must not be 'Offended.' People must be *Politically Correct*, at all cost!

Open your eyes. Open your eyes. Please, allllll who can still do so, open your eyes and dig for information and seeeeeeeeeeee...

'Lifting' from Vee...

Yes, I am brazenly 'lifting' a post idea, from Vee!!! And adding my own 2 cents worth.
Which begins thus...

"
A few weeks ago, columnist Michael Barone warned readers that Barack Obama was ready to create a “thugocracy.” Barone was talking about the looming threat that once elected President, his Administration would reinstitute the Fairness doctrine and use it to wipe conservative talk radio off the air, as well as force internet sites hostile to his policies to counter each critical article with a supportive one."

I knew about the threat to Conservative Talk Radio! I did not know that the inreinstituting of The Fairness Doctrine {which Democrats love} could force Internet sites, hostile to Obama's policies, to counter each critical article with a supportive one!

This blog is an Internet site! Your blog is an Internet site! I am hostile to Obama's policies, already. Would that impinge on my rights and freedoms? Most certainly it would! Imagine having to post a link to a supportive-to-Obama link, every time I post a link to one, hostile to his policies!!??!!

Think about it. We always thought our blog was our own, didn't we? But of course we did!

So, how does an Obama/Democratic administration sound to you, now? I'm sure you know how it sounds to me. :-(

One source And another.

**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**~~~**

YES, I WILL GO BACK TO SOFT, WARM, COZY HERE, WHEN THIS ELECTION IS OVER.

If necessary, I still have 'In The Mind Of A Grandmother' to be critical in. At least, for the time being. :-((((

**~~-=-~~**~~-=-~~**~~-=-~~**~~-=-~~**~~-=-~~**

Feels like a 'Cranberry Nut Bread' kind of a day. :-)

**~~-=-~~**~~-=-~~**~~-=-~~**

I know it's the season for raking leaves. And I know it's the season for gathering them, into piles at the curb. And I know it's the season for the City Public Works Dept. to pick them up. But why do they seem to *have to* begin the use of this very noisy equipment, by our bedroom window, early in the morning?!? -grin-

**~~-=-~~**~~-=-~~**~~-=-~~**

Above, Saturday at 6PM

Above, Sunday at 6PM

But it's OK with me, because the mornings are brighter, earlier. :-)

*Apologies* to those who like to keep snuggled down under the covers, early in the morning. My husband included. But! He also gets a perk out of getting up later than I do. I come down and turn on some heat. So by the time he comes down, it's warmer than when I first did.

I will not turn on heat upstairs yet!!!! And I turn heat down, downstairs before bed too!!! And use the sun {as much as possible}, to warm the area of our house where we do our living, during the time we are up. %^*&$%#^&@ to OPEC!!! Even though we heat with natural gas.

Clocks! Back! :-))))))))

Back to Nature's time, went the clocks.

You did remember, didn't you? ,-)

Whenever I change clocks backward or forward, with Day Light Savings Time, I remember Great Aunt Josie. I know I've told this story here, many times. But there may be new readers... So I'll tell it again.

My Great Aunt Josie always said... When the clocks were set ahead in the Spring... that she "would never be the same again, until the clocks were set back in the Fall." And I'm sure she believed this. :-)

Great Aunt Josie passed on, many years ago. But I'm growing more and more, to agree with her. Not to the extent that "I'll never be the same again, until Fall." But to the extent that, I simply feel better somehow, to be back on Nature's Time, in the Fall.

It only seems fitting. We in modern life, have turned our back on Nature's Ways, in
so many things. But personally, I like to live my life, by the constant rhythmic rising of the sun and setting of the sun. No matter what the clocks say!!!!!

Grumpy, hu? -grin-

Brings a cozy feeling to a home...

Be like the sun and the meadow, which are not in the least concerned
about the coming winter."
~~George Bernard Shaw

"It is the glory and the worry of heavy laden boughs, the preparation of the pantry for winter. It is the bloom of the land, preserved."
~~Amy Machamer

And now comes November... I really like the above quotes, don't you? Much better than the old English saying...

"No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds, November!"

^_^

Rather, let's think of sitting by the fire. And of warm stews simmering on the stove. And of twilight coming sooner, which brings a cozy feeling to a home. Close the drapes... Light some candles... Curl up in your favorite chair, with a comfy
throw or blanket over you... Kind of settle down into home and hearth.

I ask you to 'suspend disbelief' and look at my made-up face, below.

Next, another view of my face... By now you know I am 'Alice' from the 'Twilight' film. :-))))

And below... Here I am, in Forks High School. By myself...

With my true love Jasper... Below...

With four members of my family, below...

And since there has to be conflict in a story, here I am below, ready to
'kick some ass'!!! >,-)

But below, I'm in a more pensive mood...

And of course, I have accessories for my High School look!!! Chunky cuff bracelet, and Ballet Flats/shoes below.

Soooo, what do you think of my costume for 'Peas' Halloween Party?

Isn't it wonderful that
'Pea' is holding this Halloween Party, in Cyber?!? And that it's therefore a Virtual Reality Party?!? Where we can be anyyyyyyyyyyyyyything or annnnnnnnnnnnnyone?!? ,-)

I do hope to see you at 'Pea's' Halloween Party, today!!!

Thank you Dear 'Pea'! I so needed this fun project!!!! :-)

Threatening.....................

Did you see this article in The Philadelphia Daily News???????????

Read by clicking here---> 'Fatimah Ali: We need Obama...'

Excerpt:
"If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness - and hopelessness!"

How do you like that? Threatening this country with "a full-fledged race and class war." How do you like that?

An article, on Yahoo News...
By CALVIN WOODWARD, Associated Press Writer – Wed Oct 29, 9:18 pm ET

"Obama's prime-time ad skips over budget realities"

Click here for whole article--> full article, which contains 'His Spin' and 'The Facts'.

This is from the Associated Press!!! It is not a Fox News article, or from a Conservative Blog. This is an AP writer!

Excerpt:
"
THE SPIN: "Here's what I'll do. Cut taxes for every working family making less than $200,000 a year. Give businesses a tax credit for every new employee that they hire right here in the U.S. over the next two years and eliminate tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. Help homeowners who are..."

"THE FACTS: His proposals — the tax cuts, the low-cost loans, the $15 billion a year he promises for alternative energy, and more — cost money, and the country could be facing a record $1 trillion deficit next year. Indeed, Obama recently acknowledged — although not in his commercial — that: "The next president will have to scale back his agenda and some of his proposals."

Some things don't die ~ They just become more refined with age

Click below......

'Dem Playbook Shows Dirty Tactics'......for article

Excerpt:
"
Dirty campaign tricks don’t die. They just become more refined with age.

Documents obtained by Townhall show the Democratic Party encouraged party activists to accuse the GOP of intimidating minorities on Election Day even if no evidence of intimidation existed in the 2004 presidential election. The tactic is being used again in 2008, this time to downplay fraud charges against a predominantly minority non-profit supporting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Excerpt:
' “If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a ‘pre-emptive strike.’” The manual said this should be done by placing stories in mainstream and specialty press..."

Excerpt:
"
The Democrats’ preemptive strike has been delivered from Barack Obama’s legal team this time around. Obama’s lawyers are demanding that the Department of Justice to investigate GOP presidential candidate John McCain, vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and other Republican politicians because they have drawn attention to ACORN’s fraudulent activities on the campaign trail."

I want to find a "Tasha Tudor Land"...

I want to find a "Tasha Tudor Land."

Look at the quiet contentment, on her face...

I need to find a "Tasha Tudor Land."

I want to live in a
"Tasha Tudor Land."

She found her own, and lived in it.

Her own old fashioned and quietly peaceful world.

Is there a
"Tasha Tudor Land," still available?

How could I bake/nest when this is happening?

How can I bake and nest, when this is happening in our Beloved Country...? When our Constitution can be ignored...? When ordinary Citizens, already are being stripped of our Rights...?

Click click-able link, below:

Lawsuit challenging Obama's constitutional eligibility to serve as president, dismissed

So, who could bring such a suit? Read quote from article, below...

"So, who does have standing? According to the Hon. R. Barclay Surrick, that's completely up to Congress to decide.
If, through the political process, Congress determines that citizens, voters, or party members should police the Constitution’s eligibility requirements for the Presidency, then it is free to pass laws conferring standing on individuals like Plaintiff. Until that time, voters do not have standing to bring the sort of challenge that Plaintiff attempts to bring in the Amended Complaint."

How do you read that?

As I do...? That citizens/voters of this country, have no right to check on {Judge's term is "police"} the fulfillment of our Constitution's provisions... Unless and until Congress passes laws, so allowing?

{Tell me how you read it please. Comments Allowed}

Did you ever think you would read such a ruling from a Judge, in our Beloved Country?!?

And this is now...

Just wait till our Administration, and Legislative Body, and Judicial Body, are fully controlled by Liberal Democrats!

Baking, nesting, reading by fireside...

Good morning Dear Reader.

I'm off for a bit of baking and nesting and reading old fashioned books, by the fireside.

If you use Google Reader to follow your blogs, you'll be sure to see when there is a new entry posted here.

Gentle hugs to you, in the meantime,

Hoooooooooooooray!!!!

Hoooray!!!

Let's keep saving gas, every way we can. Let's not use our cars/trucks frivolously. Let's try to make 3-4 errand-stops, every time we turn the engine on.

Because OPEC is having emergency meeting! They're upset at the drop in demand for oil. They want to cut their production, to jack up the cost of oil, because they are losing money! And Iran is particularly upset. Isn't that the nicest thing you've heard on the news, in ages?!?

America is the world's biggest energy consumer. Every time we don't turn our cars on for frivolous travel, we are saying "BOOOOO" to the Oil Cartel. We are especially saying "BOOOOO" to "The Dark Dwarf."

Otherwise known as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. >,-)

Did you ever hear of a better idea to really, really work on cutting our individual use of oil products?!?

Say
"BOOOOO" to "The Dark Dwarf."

Hehhh, hehhhhhh, hehhhhh...

Of beautiful leaves, and smaller sizes... ,-)

*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*

The Autumn beauty...

of trees...

around my home.

{click on any, to enlarge}

Do one's feet get smaller, when one loses some weight?

I have worn the same size shoe, for years.

But of late, I keep noticing that shoes are feeling roomier... Which is not really a good thing. Because no matter how tightly I "lace them" with Velcro closings...

It still feels like the front half of my foot, is sort of "floating around" in the shoe.

And this is not good, in order to feel sure-footed when walking. Not a good thing, for sure! Guess it's time to try at least a half a size smaller.

I've read that the bust gets smaller, first. Guess I can add to that, the the feet get smaller, first also.

Harrrrummmmph...

Not what I was aiming for, I must say!

"We are not amused."
