Because OPEC is having emergency meeting! They're upset at the drop in demand for oil. They want to cut their production, to jack up the cost of oil, because they are losing money! And Iran is particularly upset. Isn't that the nicest thing you've heard on the news, in ages?!?
America is the world's biggest energy consumer. Every time we don't turn our cars on for frivolous travel, we are saying "BOOOOO" to the Oil Cartel. We are especially saying "BOOOOO" to "The Dark Dwarf."
