First Waterlily of the season!


My daughter in law's purple Iris. It's just on the other side of the kid's play yard fence, and we can see it. So we can enjoy it, too.


"Old Faithful" ~~ Queen Ann's Lace ~~ always comes back in the Spring.

Peonies are full of buds. Poppies are still waiting to burst open. But I finally have some flowers to show, at least! :-)

,-))) I know, I should be *ashamed* to post this picture of a bird, above. And I am *ashamed*. ,-) Compared to all the beeeeeeeutiful, crisp, clear, etc. photos of brightly colored birds, which so many bloggers take... But, it's the first ding-dang-pic I've ever taken of a bird!!!

I noticed him pulling up worms, as I was coming back from taking flower pics. So I stopped and shot. Expected him to fly away! But he didn't. 'Course, I didn't catch him in the act, of pulling up a worm either. But.... I actually *captured* a real live bird!!! Dull in color, though he may be. But.. I got him!!! :-))))))))

Now I wonder... Would 'he,' be a 'she'? Would it be a 'Jenny Wren'? Oh that would be wonderful! I love Wrens. Ever since when I was a child and we called them all, by the name of 'Jenny Wren.'
