We had a calm and joyful Christmas. Next comes New Year's Eve.
It's always the same here. We stay home with a bottle of 'bubbly' and some 'yummies' to nibble on. Maybe watch a rented DVD. Watch the lowering of the Ball, in NYC Times Square, at midnight.
Oh and.... have the scanner turned on. You can hear some *interesting* police calls, that night. ,-) One time we heard of someone running 'sky clad,' through the back yards, in the area where friends live. We never did find out if they 'noticed.' ,-)
You have to 'hand it' to someone, to do that! To be *warm* enough to do a sky clad run at midnight on as cold a midnight, as our New Year's Eves are, around this neck of the woods! ,-)
I hope you have some happy plans for New Year's Eve. Whether they be going out with a crowd. Or staying home with some "bubbly." Or reading a good book and going to bed early. Whatever! I hope it is a happy way to spend the last evening of 2007. And I take this early opportunity to wish all who read here, a Happy and a Healthy New Year of 2008!!!
Yes, I know of the world news.
I have 2 choices.... I can worry, or not. My worry will do nothing. So I choose to not. I choose to try to not worry, that is.
But I can't just post, as if I am oblivious to the world news. :-(
