Of flowers, and celebrations, and cake, and grins...

{Beauty, in the morning...}

We are all on the look-out for money saving ideas, yes? Well I found a {click-->}list of different kinds. Not everyone will agree with or want all of them. But maybe, after a quick-look-see, you'll find a few you which strike your fancy. :-)

{Red 'Old' Roses}

Locally, we are having what is called "An All-American Celebration: Family, Freedom & Founding Fathers." With all sorts of activities, for the three days... July 4th, July 5th and July 6th.

{White Daisy's}

On Fri. July 4th, Congress Park will host happenings all day and night. Including an all afternoon Revolutionary War Encampment and Musicians In The Park and Fireworks at dark. {Food available}

{Blue Hydrangea's}

On Sat. July 5th, there will be events at various locations in Downtown. Including a morning Parade, afternoon BBQ and Dessert Festivals, a Classic Car Show... And at night, free Bands On Broadway. Different kinds of music, at different spots. .......... On Sun. July 6th, there will be events held on Grove St. of Downtown, from 11 AM - 2 PM.

{'Jacob's Coat of Many Colors' Old Rose}

Would you like to take a little trip {via your computer} to a lovely area in England? Rowan has another lovely entry on her blog... titled {click-->}The Dreaming Spires, Part 2, which is a joy. And of course, if this is Part 2, there is a Part 1, back a little bit on her blog. .......... Oh my! Her photographs! I love to take these little Virtual Reality trips, with lovely bloggers like Rowan. Seeing things, I will never get to see, for myself. Joy! .......... And per usual, will you please leave her a comment and say that Mari-Nanci sent you? Please and thank you.

{Bud, on 'Jacob's Coat of Many Colors' Old Rose}

Alice has a recipe for a {click-->}Retro Tea: Dump Cake. And I was thinking, one could make a 4th of July dessert with this. :-) Put the Cherry pie filling {red} on the bottom. Follow with Blueberries {blue} and then the Yellow Cake Mix. {sort of white} But put Whipped Cream {white} on top of each serving. {Grands have requested Nana's own real whipped cream... not the kind which comes in a can}.......... Or, if the 2nd layer has to be moist, because undrained crushed pineapple is moist, then use Blueberry Pie Filling. Maybe add some fresh Blueberries, for 'umph.'
