{{Per usual, click on any pic, to enlarge}}The Peonies above, say it all. Rains came. And with them, came higher barometric pressure and blue skies and nice sun. No more oppressive temps and high humidity and threats of bad weather. The flowers are happy! And the people are happy too.

But sad to say, a house down a couple of blocks to the south, had a morning fire. I heard sirens, while I was out taking pics of flowers. Talked to my neighbor, when she came home from taking her daughter to school, and she told me... They went by the house, going, as they do every morning. And when she returned, it was billowing smoke. We don't know who lived there... since the house has changed hands... -sigh-

Next door... Isn't this a pretty greeting, in front of the house? :-)
It takes a few days of oppressive heat/humidity, to make one appreciate the lack of it. It's been so hot! But I've not wanted us to put in window A/C units yet. It's early. The heat will come, eventually. But between now and then, there will be nice weather again. {as it is today}
So ~~ We've gotten by, with just some oscillating fans, moving the air around. We did stuff early, and tried to take it easy, after that. But yesterday, it had gotten so bad for so long, that we had to put a small A/C in the den window. So we had one place to *escape* to, when it got tooooo much.
{More "Old Roses," in bloom...}
Which felt good, as a place to *escape.* But I still couldn't *do* much of anything. My computer is in here, yes. But after a while, even being on line, lost its luster, so to speak. It's one thing, to do something, because you want to do it. It's another think to have to do it, because you are stuck in one room. Yish...
Sooo, I dreamed of being able to get rid of more *stuff.* Put it in bags and ready it, to leave~the~house. :-)
I do this. And then, it seems as if more *stuff* sneaks in, during the night. And begins to fill in, where once I made some progress. ,-) Does anyone else ever feel this way too???
We used to say that when a sock went missing... Or a spool of thread went missing... Or a myriad of things which can go missing around the house, did so... We used to say that "The Borrowers" borrowed them. So, would the reverse, hold true? Are they bring *stuff* back?
But this would seem difficult for little "Borrowers" to do... Bring things back and leave them about. Unless... Unless the "Borrowers" are getting over-run with *stuff* too! And they too, have to get rid of their *stuff,* however then can!
^_^
Above, the morning sun, dappling the east side of our house. With its row of "Queen Ann's Lace." Which almost makes a hedge, below the pool fencing. And you can see this sunlight effect, in the little woods across the street, too.
