Trimming a hat for a special occasion is always fun. Go into the garden and gather a handful of leaves and flowers with longish stems. Choose flowers which are not quite open. Take a straw hat and bind the leaves and flowers around the base of the crown and attach with either florist's wire or ribbon. If it is a blowy day attach two ribbons to the sides of the hat
and tie under the chin.
