An area Woodworking Club is making pontoon boat kits for a Summer Camp for children with life-threatening illnesses, up at Lake George. {Click here for "Hole In The Woods"} 'Hole In The Woods' was founded by a wonderful Lake George business man... Charlie Wood. In conjunction with Paul Newman.
Ed made these kits, and he and the Grands put them in bags. They'll be picked up today, by the Club member {Herm} who...
is in charge of this project. {Ed & Herm, above} These kits will be added to those made by other area wood workers, and do good, this summer. :-)**~~~***~~~***~~~**

I mentioned to Obe at {click-->} Crafty Passions, that my husband was making a totem pole, for a friend of ours. And she asked to see pictures of it, in progress.
The friend of ours {and her husband} live out in the country and she's always wanted a totem pole. So he is making one "to order" for her. Carving the things she wants, on it.
She wanted a cross, an eagle, an Indian, an owl... Not sure what else...
It's a long project!!! But he likes to be able to work on one thing, for a while. Then move to another project, for a while. So this totem pole is perfect.*~*~*
Along with the old furniture he's always having to *rescue* for friends, etc. And more tinkering with the old truck. Etc. Etc. :-) He totally loves it!

Before he decided to mostly retire, the though of retirement really scared him. No need. He has more to do now, then before. And now, it's all, what he loves to do. Not that he didn't love being in the drug store too. But... A hobby is a hobby is a hobby. And he still works a few hours a week, in the drug store, too. :-)))
